ARGAN

This is going to be a bit gross, but all my life I've had dry and flaky skin. Eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, you name it - I've had it. It's been the WORST finding the best beauty products that work with my troublesome skin - I pretty much gave up. It took a friend to bring home some Josie Maran Cosmetics argan oil from the US for me to try, and amazingly, it worked. Of course I was sceptical, but after a week I realised it didn't make me break out into a million zits, and the flaky area around my forehead and lips was gone.

Since that wasn't enough, I did some shoddy research on argan oil (yeah it was wikipedia, don't hurt me - I never did this at school and this is just a blog post so who cares) and here are some dot points on why it's pretty great:

  • producing argan oil prevents the argan tree from being cut down, and many now consider it valuable
  • it also provides jobs for thousands of women in Morocco, thereby improving their way of life and increasing their social status
  • you can eat it (but don't eat the one that you buy from a cosmetics company)

Have I convinced you yet?
