On a stinking hot Saturday, we made the trek to Flemington for one last time. More laid-back than the other race days, people were encouraged to bring their families, which could make for a nice day on the track if you're that way inclined. Race-wear at Stakes was super colourful, with bright oranges and hot pinks, bold prints and gold hardware.
Big shoutout to the men and women who have worked the races these past few weeks; especially those who were standing out in the harsh wind and heat that burned with the fire of a thousand suns (no exaggeration) and still managed to be so friendly and helpful.
Fashion highlight: Lindy Klim's D&G owl shift (her daughter running around barefoot was too cute) Biggest drainer: public parking (don't do it) Yay moment: the Emirates marquee had a make-up touch-up bar and their own bathroom
