VAMFF 2018: Gala Runway, presented by David Jones and Vogue Australia.

We saw a lot of colour blocking, prints and power suiting. Although we found the styling of the show not particularly inspiring, the individual garments and models themselves were exciting enough to capture our attention. There was a nice diverse casting this year, with two older models, one curvy model, and a wider range of ethnicities than in previous years.
Hopefully this trend keeps up in Australia; a demand for wider varieties of talent would be AMAZING! Seeing the same models over and over again in campaigns/windows/EDMs/catwalks can be extremely desensitising, to the point where I don't even look at the clothes anymore, because I think I've already seen this collection.

Anyway. These were our favourite images from the Gala Runway, captured on the Panasonic Lumix GX850 (+ 25mm lens). Best purchase this year, hands down. x
